Second Year - In the Fifth Grade or 11 years old

Earn Bobcat Rank

Requirements:
Have an adult member of your family read the Webelos Scout Parent Guide
Be an active member of your Webelos Den for at least 3 months
Know and explain the meaning of the Webelos Badge
Point out the three special parts of the Webelos Scout uniform
Tell when to wear the uniform and when not to wear it
Earn the Fitness activity badge and two other activity badges
Plan and lead a flag ceremony in your den
Show that you understand the requirements to become a Boy Scout
Understand and intend to live by the:
Boy Scout Oath
Boy Scout Law
Boy Scout Motto
Boy Scout Slogan
Know the following and when to use them:
Boy Scout Salute
Boy Scout Sign
Boy Scout Handclasp
Understand and agree to follow the Outdoor Code
Complete one of the following:
Earn the religious emblem of your faith
(If earned as Wolf or Bear, you must complete the next requirement)
Complete 2 of these 6 choices:
Attend the religious organization of your choice and talk with your
religious leader
Tell your family and Webelos den leader what you learned
Tell how your religious beliefs fit in with the Scout Oath and Scout Law
Discuss this question with your family and Webelos den leader
With your religious leader, discuss and write down 2 things you think
will help you draw nearer to God. Do these 2 things
Pray to God or meditate reverently each day as taught by your family
or religion. Do this for at least one month.Under the direction of your religious leader, do an act of service for someone else.Discuss this act of service with your family and Webelos den leader.List at least 2 ways you believe you have lived according to your religious beliefs.
